Introduction:Ever wondered how do they host a minecraft server?Well heres how,Its pretty easy actually.

-Minecraft_Server.exe is lighter and cause less lag and delay to slow internet users
1:Go to http://www.minecraft.net/download and download [Minecraft_Server.exe] which is 802kb.
2:Move "Minecraft_Server.exe" into an Empty Folder.
3:Run "Minecraft_Server.exe" and wait for 5-10Seconds.And close it
4:now open "server.properties" with Notepad.
Heres what it Have in the notepad: (Follow What I Edit There)
#Minecraft server properties ##Date# allow-nether=true level-name=world (World name,Change as you please) enable-query=false allow-flight=false server-port=25565 level-type=DEFAULT enable-rcon=false level-seed= server-ip= (Leave This Empty,It Will Generate Your IP Automatically) spawn-npcs=true white-list=false spawn-animals=true online-mode=true (Change To False,Since You Are Going To Play On LAN) pvp=true (Set to "True" to enable Killing Players,"False" For Otherwise) difficulty=1 gamemode=0 (Set 1 For Creative Mode,0 For Survival) max-players=20 (Limit Player Slots) spawn-monsters=true generate-structures=true view-distance=10 (Distance For Viewing Map) motd=A Minecraft Server (Your Minecraft Server Name,Change As You Want)
5:All Set,Now Run "Minecraft_Server.exe".Copy your IP and connect through minecraft.(IP is Showned On Minecraft_Server.exe Interface)
[[If You Want To Host Minecraft On Bukkit,Use This]]
-Bukkit is heavier and cost more internet speed,not recommended on slow internet users.Though Bukkit is much more reliable for the game function.

3:Put those 2 files you downloaded in the same folder and run Bukkit Starter.bat
4:The Setting is just like Minecraft_Server.exe's.Scroll up and see.
5:The rest is just like Minecraft_server.exe's.Scroll up and see.
6:Bukkit can be added Plugin into it,check out bukkit's website for plugins.
